In Memoriam: Representative Rich Myers

Representative Richard P. Myers of Colchester, IL passed away on Wednesday, December 1.  Representative Myers served as the keynote speaker at the 2008 MIG simulation.  More importantly he was a restless advocate for higher education.  He was known as a true Statesman among his colleagues and a friend to his constituents.

Model Illinois Government would like to send its deepest condolences to Representative Myers family.  They are in all of our thoughts.

The Executive Board moved on September 19, 2010 to suspend OMB for the 2011 Simulation.  Those interested in OMB will now be offered a House membership with a seat on the Appropriations Committee.  Appropriation Committee information is available in the House Bills Section.

The Senate bills and bill list have been added to the Senate Section.

The Moot Court Fact Pattern has been added to the Moot Court Section.

In order to allow attendees time to participate in both the Organizational Assembly and Lincoln Land Community College's Pre-simulation, the Executive Board has moved the October 17th Organizational Assembly to 12:00pm.
